The Executive Council administers the affairs of IUVSTA and usually meets twice per year.

Each of these Executive Council Meetings (ECMs) is held in a country to which it has been invited by the local National Vacuum Society.

The first in 2010 will be hosted by The British Vacuum Council and will be held in the UK (ECM108).

The venue will be Barony Castle, near Peebles in the Scottish Borders and will run from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 February inclusive.
